NovaCast takes significant steps towards renewable energy goals

At NovaCast, we are continually striving to enhance our sustainability practices, recognising the critical importance of environmental responsibility in today’s climate. In March 2024 we took significant steps towards using renewable energy by installing our first Solar Panels to our Head office in Melksham, UK.

With sustainability at the forefront of our operations, we expanded this initiative earlier this year by installing an additional flat-roof solar panel system, with a capacity of 14.56 kW, to another of our warehouses. This design allows us to maximise solar exposure and optimise energy generation.

Our partnership with Nimbus Solar—an established provider of solar and renewable energy systems in the UK for over a decade—has been instrumental in helping us begin our transition toward cleaner, more sustainable energy within our business.

In doing so, NovaCast will be reducing its co2 emissions by 3 tons every year, whilst creating 75% energy from solar power per year. We have always been committed to reducing our energy consumption, and with our Sustainability Co-Ordinator, Kim Little leading the way, we are continually expanding our knowledge and efforts on this important matter.
