Our supply chain management has become a critical part of NovaCast’s relationship with its customers. As demand continues to rise, we are focused on ensuring we are continually being efficient, reliable and as flexible as possible to meet our customers growing needs.
Our UK Headquarters is equipped with extensive warehousing which is integrated with QA and inspection facilities. With the extensive storage capacity NovaCast can securely hold both UK manufactured and imported parts on behalf of our established customers for an agreed length of time.
While our in-house Foundry specialises in sand casting and gravity die casting, our established partnerships with overseas foundries allow us to be able to offer a full range of capabilities including investment casting and low pressure die casting to meet our customer’s needs, ensuring no project is limited by local capacity. With this greater range of capabilities, we can offer a broader selection of ferrous and non-ferrous materials to meet a wider range of project requirements.

When it comes to delivery methods for our UK based customers, we can offer a variety of delivery methods. Overnight pallet and parcel services allow us to send medium to large shipments, making this the ideal method for time sensitive orders. Our same day vans can be used for urgent local deliveries, while our articulated lorries provide a cost-effective solution for transporting, heavy or high volumes over longer distances.
For our international customers, this means we can manage shipments directly from our supply chain to their locations, streamlining our shipping process. This enables us to reduce lead times and simplify logistics while reinforcing our commitment to delivering high quality products and simplifying our supply processes. NovaCast is actively working to reduce our carbon emissions footprint, so by working closely with our suppliers and logistic partners within the supply chain, we are reducing our greenhouse gas emissions in line with our Sustainability goals, demonstrating that operational efficiency and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
Our overseas shipment methods include sea shipment and air freight. Sea shipments provide a cost-effective solution to transport large or heavy parts for over long distances, while air freight, is ideal for urgent or high value parts. By using both methods, we can efficiently meet the varied needs of our global customer base.
Supply chains can come with some hurdles, custom issues and delays being amongst some NovaCast has come up against. While these situations can be frustrating, our dedicated Supply Chain team proactively manages these challenges through strong supplier relationships, contingency planning, and real time tracking, ensuring minimal impact on customers and maintaining the reliability they expect from NovaCast.
